清川帶長薄，
車馬去閑閑。
流水如有意，
暮禽相與還。
荒城臨古渡，
落日滿秋山。
迢遞嵩高下，
歸來且閉關。

I left all that, followed a crystalline river
into thick woodlands, idleness deepening.
It seems the current is thinking of home,
and near nightfall, birds return. I pass
an overgrown town, ancient river-crossing,
then it's dusk flooding autumn mountains
where I'm back home again, far far away,
closing my gate beneath towering peaks.
